Support for parents and caregivers schooling at home during COVID-19 (CoronaVirus)
PLD have created a Home Learning with PLD set of resources for parents, teachers and caregivers during school closures. You can access them here:
Kindergarten (WA/QLD/SA/TAS), Preschool (NSW/ACT/NT/VIC)
Early Years
Pre-Primary (WA), Kindergarten (NSW, ACT), Preparatory (QLD, VIC, TAS), Reception (SA), Transition (NT)
Foundation
Year 1 & 2
Year 3 & 4
Year 5 & 6
For parents and caregivers, if you need support when using suggested PLD resources, the first point of contact is your child's teacher. The class teacher will know your child and is in the best position to assist you in the implementation of the PLD activities.
If you child is receiving services from a speech pathologist or occupational therapist, PLD recommends contacting them directly as an additional source of support. These professionals will have a detailed knowledge of your child and will be able to guide you to cater to your child's needs.
At PLD, we will not have had contact with your child directly, meaning we are unfortunately not in a position to provide support directly to parents. We have provided the above activities with support videos to schools and the wider community to support teachers and parents during this challenging time and we hope you'll find them useful.
