At PLD we are always happy to provide guidance on the placement tests, but you need to follow these steps first.

It is essential that you plot the test onto the PLD tracking sheets (and not a paper-based version or a version that you have created). If you have not requested the tracking sheets, please do so here: https://pld-literacy.org/plds-tracking-sheets/

Step 1: is to hide Term 1 and also hide Term 3 and 4. If you don't know how to do this. view this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4jDqnbWOAg

Step 2: View this Term 2 tips video:. There is a video for each year level located here: https://pld-literacy.org/teaching-tips-for-term-2/

Step 3 - with this knowledge, colour fill the one or two cells you intend to teach. If you don't know how to do this. view this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4jDqnbWOAg

Step 4: Move the order of the students, so that they are organised into the targeted teaching groups.

Step 5: Aim to describe the Term 2 groupings - refer to the blue font above each group. Refer to pages 3/4 and 5/6 which provide good examples. https://pld-literacy.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/PLD_Year-1-and-2_Teaching-Sequence-01-04-21.pdf?utm_source=pld&utm_medium=website&utm_campaign=page_downloads Yes this booklet has had a significant update.

Once the above steps have been completed, please do return to me for feedback. I will be more than happy to help.
