Can you assist with grouping my class for Term 2 using the PLD Placement Tests and the Tracking Sheets?

Absolutely! At PLD we are always happy to provide guidance on the Placement Tests, but you need to follow these steps first.

It is essential that you plot the test results onto the current PLD Tracking Sheets (and not a paper-based version or a version that you have created). If you have not requested the tracking sheets this year, please do so here: and they will be emailed straight to you.

Step 1: Is to hide the data you do not need for now i.e. If you are working on the data for Term 2, hide Terms 1, 3 and 4. If you don't know how to do this view this video:

Step 2: View the Term 2 tips video:. There is a video for each year level located here:

Step 3: With this knowledge, colour fill in yellow the one or two cells you intend to teach. If you don't know how to do this view this video:

Step 4: Move the order of the students so that they are organised into the targeted teaching groups.

Step 5: Aim to describe the learning focus for each group - refer to the blue text above each group in the screen shots of the tracking sheets below.
