SSP Kit Updates of the Digital Display Resources in the MY SSP Kit. Can you explain how they will function?

In mid-2025, PLD reached out to schools to gather feedback on the digital display materials accessed through the MY SSP KIT section of the website.

The educators who contributed also requested increased functionality. The content within Volume 1 and Volume 2 of the SSP Kit Manuals were not the focus of these changes, rather, layout and functionality improvements were identified for the SSP KIT Daily Reviews.

We have worked hard so that the content has not changed, but rather, just the layout of the content has been updated. The same phonic concepts, the same heart HFW’s, and previously covered concepts are displayed. It is primarily layout, design and functionality changes that have occurred. In this way, the printed manuals are still usable even though the materials have had design changes.

In the sample Stage 4 screen grab below, you will see three weeks of teaching displayed. The updated version has the same content, but it is expanded over three layouts to also include list words and definitions.

• In the video at 4:20 you will see that by clicking on the week, educators can move rapidly to the week required–prior versions of the digital display required you to manually flick through the Daily Reviews until you found your desired page.
