When Should I Schedule Comprehension Question Tests?

PLD used to encourage schools to conduct Pre and Post testing, however, More than 10 years ago, we found that in today's technological society schools that conducted the 'Pre-Test' had on average more than 80% of students failing. PLD did not see the value in this and so changed the Pre and Post tests.
Conduct Mid-Year and End of Year Tests.
First, teach Term 1 & 2 and then conduct a progress check mid-year to determine students who would be unlikely to 'make-it' and work toward acquiring these skills within Semester 2.
If students are scoring 0/4 or 1/4 mid-year, we would suggest this is grounds for a referral to Speech.
