# We have Multi-Aged Classes in our small school. Can the SSP KITS work in composite and MAG classrooms?

| Unfortunately, the SSP Kits are actually not designed for multi-aged classrooms, but the good news is that they will work in composite classes. 


**Composite Classes can work with the SSP Integrated Kits when schools purchase the 'kit' for the higher of the two year levels:**
* For example: If there was a Year 1/2 class, then the school could purchase a Year 2 kit (and place the Year 1s and no doubt some of the Year 2s on catch-up programs)
* Likewise, if a school has a Year 3/4 composite class, then the school could purchase a Year 4 Kit, and place the Year 3s (and likely some of the Year 4's) on catch-up programs.

**Multi-Aged Grouping (MAG) typically presents with a wider age range of students (e.g. P-2, P-3 or K-2 or 3-6)**
*  This would likely require two different kits, which would be expensive for the school and also very complicated for the classroom teacher navigating the two kits.
*  For this reason, the SSP Kits are not recommended for MAG
